Province unveils Golden Tourism Week in Hue Heritage sites

To mark two important events in September including August Revolution and National Day (September 2), tourism sector in the central province of Thua Thien – Hue launched Golden Tourism Week in Hue Heritage sites from September 2 to 8.

To mark two important events in September including August Revolution and National Day (September 2), tourism sector in the central province of Thua Thien – Hue launched Golden Tourism Week in Hue Heritage sites from September 2 to 8.

In the golden week, holidaymakers will receive special privileges by a discount for student groups.
In 8 first months of the year, nearly 1.5 million visitors including 671,127 international visitors ( an increase of 7.38 percent compared to the same period last year ) toured to heritage sites in the province.

Turnover reached VND141,2 billion (US$6.3 million), achieving 83 percent of the 2015's plan.
Possessing the tangible heritage of the last ruling family of Vietnam - the Nguyen dynasty which the UNESSCO has recognized, the province has the advantage to grow tourist more.

Dr.Phan Thanh Hai, director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, said that the project to improve service quality in Hue Heritage sites and promotion programs received good response from tourists and tourism agents. From 2012 to now, more holidaymakers have flocked to the province. 

This year, the center will exempt entrance fee for visitors at the Thieu Tri tomb and An Dinh palace if they buy ticket for the tour of the Imperial Palace and Minh Mang and Khai Dinh tombs.

In addition, tourists will receive free entrance at Gia Long, Thieu Tri, Hong Chen Temple and An Dinh palace when they purchase tickets to sightsee the Imperial Palace and Minh Mang, Tu Duc and Khai Dinh tombs.
