The flight No. VN220 from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, carrying the 94 millionth passenger, was the 800th flight conducted by the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) in this year.
The 94 millionth passenger was also the 1.5 millionth member of Vietnam Airlines’ Golden Lotus Plus.
There are 71 carriers operating at Noi Bai airport, including 4 domestic ailrines. The number of passengers carried in 2017 increased by 16 percent year-on-year.
