New tour to Con Co Islands to be launched in April

The Central province of Quang Tri said it will officially launch tourism route to Con Co Island, featuring attractive services such as trekking, scuba diving and visiting historic relics on the Island in April.

To prepare for the tour, in March, Con Co Island’ District put express vessel into the trial operation. The vessel has speed of 32 nautical miles per hour carrying 50 passengers and taking 1 hour from Cua Viet port of Gio Linh district to the Island.

The ticket will cost VND 250,000 per passenger. Chairman of the Island district Le Minh Tuan said the Islands will be connected to the national power grid via submarine cable in the upcoming time.

Covering an area of 2.3 s.q km in the south of the Gulf of Tonkin, Con Co Island is blessed with diverse tropical marine ecosystems.
