The Sunway Hotel and Resorts Group of Malaysia has just signed a memorandum of understanding with the Nam Cuong tourism and trade group to develop tourism in Viet Nam. Currently, the Nam Cuong group operates the Nacimex Hotel in Hai Duong and the Tray Hotel in Hai Phong City.

Sunway’s role will be to help Nam Cuong manage projects, carry out market research and provide human resource training in hotel management, Mr. Hanley Chew, Managing Director of the Sunway & Allson International Hotels & Resorts Group said. For their part the Malaysians will be able to seek new business opportunities in Viet Nam’s tourism sector.
With a total capacity of 3,000 rooms, Sunway Hotels & Resorts currently manages 13 hotels and resorts in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Viet Nam.
The strategic partnership is a significant one from the point of view of both the business partners and the two countries, Mr. Tran Van Cuong, Chairman of the Nam Cuong Commerce and Tourism Group, said.
