Local airline offers extra flights for holidays

The state-owned national flag carrier, Vietnam Airline, April 10 announced that it will increase several flights to meet increasing air travel demand during the Reunification and May Day holidays from April 29 to May 4.

The state-owned national flag carrier, Vietnam Airline, April 10 announced that it will increase several flights to meet increasing air travel demand during the Reunification and May Day holidays from April 29 to May 4.

Accordingly, 342 additional flights will be implemented  from April 25 to May 5 by Vietnam Airlines on 16 domestic routes.

The carrier will also add 91 flights from HCMC to Da Nang, 87 flights from Hanoi-Da Nang, 28 flights between Hanoi and Nha Trang, 26 for Hanoi-HCMC route, 24 for HCMC-Phu Quoc route, 16 between Hanoi-Phu Quoc, 13 for HCMC-Nha Trang route and 23 flights from Hanoi-Dien Bien Province in the north.

The airline estimated that the 16 additional local flights would lead to a eighteen percent rise in its seating capacity or 382,500 seats for the Reunification and May Day holidays compared to normal days.
