Ho Chi Minh City’s third international travel show - subtitled “Discovering the Sub-Mekong Region’s Pearls - Viet Nam, Laos and Cambodia: Three Countries, One Destination” - got underway at Phu Tho Indoor Stadium earlier today.
As a special treat, the reigning Miss Earth, Hil Yesenia Hernandez Escoba of Chile, and Miss Water, Catherine Untalan of the Philippines, appear in opening ceremony along with 2007 Miss Earth contender Nicole Chen of Singapore.
The three beauty queens will spend much of their time here posing for photographers, chatting with visitors, and promoting their message of sustainable tourism development and environmental protection.
Also booked to attend the three-day fair are Chairwoman Pham Phuong Thao of the HCMC People’s Council, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Hong of the HCMC People’s Committee, Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism Hoang Anh Tuan, and representatives of Laos, Thailand and Cambodia.
