The discount program will apply for trains of routes Hanoi – Lao Cai, Hanoi – Hai Phong, Hanoi- Vinh, Hanoi – Da Nang.
Social welfare beneficiaries are eligible both for discount program and for social welfare brackets.
Before, the railway company had launched the promotion program for passengers who bought fares of the routes Hanoi – Da Nang many days in advance of their journey.
Passengers buying train tickets 50 days in advance of their journey will be eligible to enjoy the cut of 50 percent fare prices in trains SE17, SE18, SE19, SE20 while those buying fare from 40 to 49 days, from 30 to 39 days, from 20 to 29 days in advance of the trip will get discount of 40 percent, 30 percent and 20 percent respectively.
Additionally, passengers of the Hanoi – Da Nang and Hanoi – Vinh route travelling in the first days of week will get discount of 6 – 12 percent.
Those on Hanoi- Lao Cai route in odd number trains will enjoy discount of 3 - 7 percent while their peers in even number trains will have the price reduced from 7 – 15 percent.
