The pocket guide provides basic information of the medical tourism system of Ho Chi Minh City to local and international visitors, such as maps of hospital and healthcare services locations, tourist attractions, hotels, restaurants, shopping areas and others.
The 60+ page guidebook is also packed with address details and phone numbers of 14 health facilities in the city.
the city received 6.3 million international visitors and 25 domestic tourists in 2017. There is a huge potential for medical tourism, said Deputy director of the Department of Health, Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa.
The municipal Department of Health has built and developed specialized medical centers in hospitals and planned to improve the healthcare system from now until 2020, said Nguyen Thi Huynh Mai, chief of the Department of Health office.
