HCMC ITE 2016 takes place from Sept 8 to 10

The 2016 Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo (ITE) is scheduled to take place at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) in district 7 from September 8- 10.

The 2016 Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo (ITE) is scheduled to take place at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) in district 7 from September 8- 10.
 
Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism Mrs. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa said that this year’s tourism event will attract a huge number of sellers and buyers exceeding 15 percent over the same period last year.
 
Around 30, 000 attendees are expected to purchase domestic and international tours at the tourism fair. 
 
This year's event receives the participant from 20 countries and territories worldwide showcasing 280 pavillons. The HCMC Tourism Department said it will focus on the quality of tourism products and services, aiming to create opportunity for consumers to seek and buy preferential tourism packages.
 
The 12th Ho Chi Minh City International Travel Expo is expected to become an effective playground for domestic and international enterprises to exchange, discuss and cooperate about inbound and outbound products in Vietnam, the region and the global markets.

Seminars, cultural activities will take place during three-day event, contributing to strengthen further economy, society development and cooperation in the region; for example the Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS seminar), a political, economic, and cultural organization among Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar, will be held by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam and the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee; seminar of Meetings, Incentives, Conference and Exhibitions (MICE), a seminar about introducing  the U.S, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand tourism markets, a talk featuring tourism cooperation and development of Asia- Europe Economy Union, Mekong Tourism Alliance Awards (MTAA) etc…
 
ACMECS is part of bilateral economic cooperative program within the framework of economic cooperation among Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar.
 
MTAA Awards aims to honor outstanding achievements, active contributions of Vietnamese, Laotian, Cambodian, Thai and Burmese enterprises.
 
During past 11 years, the annual HCMC ITE became a prestigious event, attracting 20 countries and territories across over the world such as Japan, South of Korea, India, Turkey, Russia, United Arab Emirates and others.
 
General Manager of Informa Exhibitions Company Mr. Jack Wei shared: “This is the first time that famous international bloggers about smokeless sector from Denmark, Finland, France, Norway, the United Kingdom take part in the fair”.
