The 10th International Travel Expo- ITE HCMC 2014 will take place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in District 7 in Ho Chi Minh City from September 11-13.
This year’s event themed “Five Nations - One Destination,” aims to promote potentials, key tourism products and strengthen co operations among countries in the Mekong River region.
The expo will attract hundreds of about 300 local and foreign companies from 21 countries and territories worldwide, such as Cambodia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Taiwan (China), Thailand, Holland, the UK and Vietnam.
The tourism show is expected to draw more than 20,000 visitors.
The inauguration of the event was held at the White Palace Convention in HCMC on September 10 with participation of Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh and leaders of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand.
A seminar on the Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy-ACMECS between tourism ministers of five countries was also took place on September 10.
The annual expo is being jointly held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People’s Committee of HCMC.
