In the last minutes of the first match, the Chinese Taipei had a goal to lead Vietnam 1-0; however, the Vietnamese futsal players made efforts to draw 1-1 and scored two goals from contributions of Duc Tung, Duc Huy and Dac Huy in the second match.
Thus, the Vietnam futsal team earned six points to become the first in the Table A and face Uzbekistan futsal team in the quarterfinal round on Februarys 8.
Vietnam was drawn in the Table A including Chinese Taipei, Malaysia and Bahrain.
