The achievement was contributed by Chu Duc Anh and Loc Thi Dao as they beat 5- 4 against Mongolian couple Miroslava Danzandorj/Gantugs Jantsan in the one -string mixed event.
It is considered as the first medal of Vietnam at the archery events during nearly 15 years ago.
In the 29th SEA Games, Chu Duc Anh bagged the only gold medal for the Vietnamese archery team.
Five Vietnamese athletes including Chu Duc Anh, Loc Thi Dao, Nguyen Tien Cuong, Chau Kieu Oanh and Le Phuong Thao participated the 20th Asian Archery Championships, which is scheduled to last until December 1.
