MADRID, April 4, 2011 (AFP) - Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been struggling with a hamstring injury, has been included in the Real Madrid squad for Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg against Tottenham Hotspur.

The 26-year-old Portuguese international had been in doubt after he picked up the injury during Real's 2-1 league win over cross-town rivals Atletico Madrid on March 19.

The injury ruled him out of Real's 1-0 loss at home to Sporting Gijon on Saturday.

Real coach Jose Mourinho also included Brazilian international winger Marcelo Vieira, who was nursing a rib injury he picked up while on international duty, in his 19-man squad for the match.

But earlier on Monday the Portuguese coach said French striker Karim Benzema would miss the match due to injury.

"Benzema has no chance of playing, he did not even train with us today," Mourinho told a news conference following a training session.

Benzema was substituted in the 75th minute of France's goalless friendly draw with Croatia on March 29 after suffering an injury to his thigh.
