The Golf tournament raising the 8th "Giving strength to students" fund took place in Ho Chi Minh City co-organized by Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company, VTV in HCMC, Tuoi Tre Newspaper and Golf Long Thanh.
To date, the organization board has received VND 7.6billion for scholarships and over VND 5billion for prizes funded by organizations, individuals and enterprises in the country.
Accordingly, the sholarships which are worth VND 7million each will be offered to 800 students in 37 cities and provinces across the country.
Students of difficult conditions will receive scholarships worth VND 10million each.
At press meeting, Mr Le Quoc Phong, general director of Binh Dien, head of organization board said this year, many enterprises have faced many difficulties in business however, they have supported the fund with amount of money worth VND 7.6billion. It proves that enterprises always pay their attention to disadvantaged students with good achievememts in their study.
The golf tournament's opening ceremony will be broadcaste live on VTV and the award ceremony will also be on live via VTV9 and TV Sport on September 3.
