Youth Communist Union continues giving old computers to good students

A program ' Old computer, new knowledge' was launched in Quang Trung Software park on June 27.

The program which has been launched since 2009 by Ho Chi Minh City Youth Communist Union's center of science development and technology targets to help poor students.

Accordingly, the organizer collects old computers from benefactors to repair and update them and then the fixed computers will be sent to disadvantaged students.

The Young Communist Union also supply computers and set up the computing classes to impoverished districts in the country.

At the launch ceremony, the organizers gave 15 first computer sets to good but needy students. It is expected around 300 students will receive computers from now to the end of year.

On 2013, 370 old computers had been sent to the program; 222 fixed computers were sent to 170 good students in Nhi Binh Commune of Hoc Mon District, Nhon Duc Commune of Nha Be District and Children Cultural House in Nha Be District.
