Techmart 2018 to prioritize start-ups

The Center for Science and Technology Information (CESTI), a member of Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Science and Technology, announced on March 14 that the upcoming 2018 Technology and Equipment Market (Techmart) will open on May 10 and 11 in Techmart Daily at 79 Truong Dinh Street of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

This time, Techmart will feature ‘the cultivation, processing, and preservation of vegetables and fruits’.
This Techmart will focus on the introduction and demonstration of technological processes as well as equipment and machinery of research institutes, universities, and technological businesses for various tasks like cultivating, processing, and preserving vegetables and fruits.
These are the technologies to create high-quality and nutritious produce with no sight of harmful chemicals. This guarantees both safety in consumption and increase in export values.
Noticeably, start-up businesses will be allotted a special area so that they can introduce their own innovative products to meet the society’s demands. Research institutes, universities, technological businesses, and start-up businesses will also be given a free booth and a 50 percent discount on the second booth.
On this occasion, Techmart will host 4 workshops to announce research results which are highly applicable and commercialized regarding processing safe produce. Techmart will continue to have professional consultation activities on technologies and equipment.
The event is supposed to deliver necessary and guiding information for people in the field of vegetables cultivation and processing.
