Samsung Pay providing more functions and bank links

Samsung Company yesterday announced the expansion of its ecosystem Samsung Pay via the increase of strategic cooperation with card switching organizations and the digitization with banks.

Samsung also introduced new features such as allowing users to make mobile payment through actions with their smart watch Samsung Gear S3, enjoying money withdrawal from ATM, or benefiting from many incentive policies for membership cards.

Accordingly, the list of banks and payment cards that are available on Samsung Pay increased.

Besides the ability to replace the domestic ATM card NAPAS of six banks of Vietcombank, Vietinbank, BIDV, Sacombank, Shinhan Bank, ABBank as well as the international Visa or Mastercard of three banks of Vietinbank, Citibank, and Shinhan Bank in any location of bank card payment, Samsung Pay cards can now be used instead of the domestic ATM card NAPAS of Agribank, Techcombank, TPBank, SeABank, Woori Bank Vietnam as well as the international Visa or Mastercard of Vietinbank, Sacombank, TP Bank, Maritime Bank, Saigon Commercial Bank SCB, and FE Credit.

In addition to its three current benefits for mobile payment, being simple, safe, and convenient, Samsung Pay adds three more new functions

·         using Samsung Pay via smart watch Samsung Gear S3: users can connect their mobile phone with their smart watch Gear S3 to easily use features of Samsung Pay;

·         withdrawing money from ATM: via Samsung Pay, ATM card holders of Shinhan Bank can withdraw their money conveniently at ATM stations without the need of a real card

·         adding membership cards: thanks to Samsung Pay, users can now add or manage their various membership cards, point cards, and preferential cards after inputting necessary information onto Samsung Pay app

Until now, 15 banks and 3 card switching organizations have taken part in the mobile payment network Samsung Pay, accounting for 5 percent of the domestic market.

Samsung Pay is pre-installed in most premium smartphone lines of Samsung, including Galaxy S6edge+, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7edge, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, Galaxy Note5, Galaxy Note8, Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ and some mid-range smartphones of Galaxy A line. Samsung Pay is compatible with smart watch Samsung Gear S3.
