President Tran Dai Quang meets Vietnamese engineers working in Japan

President Tran Dai Quang led the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation to visit Gunma Prefecture, which is 130km away from Tokyo, on May 29. He had a meeting with Governor Osawa Masaaki and other leaders of Gunma Prefecture.

At the meeting, there are around 7,000 Vietnamese people living and working in Gunma, most of whom are engineers and high-level workers employed in local plants.

President Tran Dai Quang and the Vietnamese delegation paid a tour to Maebashi Plant of Koganei Seiki Co. Ltd. in Gunma. The plant concentrates on high-tech parts for jet engines, Formula 1 automobiles, and specialized vehicles with nearly zero error.

This is one of 300 most prominent precision mechanics plants in Japan, employing 39 Vietnamese engineers graduated from the Vietnam National University - University of Engineering and Technology and Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Governor Osawa Masaaki highly valued the professional skills and working spirit of Vietnamese employees in Gunma in general and Vietnamese engineers in Koganei Seiki Co. Ltd. in particular.

Meanwhile, these engineers commented that they are well treated and very welcomed here. The salary and other fringe benefits of the company are impressive.

The President stated that the employment of Vietnamese engineers to work in high-tech companies in Gunma is the strongest evident about the close and active cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.

He appreciated the support and trust from Japanese employers to Vietnamese workers and hoped that this cooperation will be strengthened more in the future.

The President also advised Vietnamese engineers to promote their learning and creative spirit in their work to prove their usefulness and to help the company develop more while demonstrating the beautiful cultural values of the Vietnamese. This will aid to reinforce the collaborative relationship between the two nations.
