This workshop aimed at introducing the state-of-the-art closed-loop technology to generate power from organic waste, including waste collecting, drying, burning, grinding, and energy producing.

This project is supported by the Japanese Ministry of Environment and managed by the country’s Global Environment Centre Foundation (GEC).

SIHUB has been able to test the effectiveness of this project in the last 5 months, piloting waste from the Thu Duc Produce Wholesale Market, sited in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).

All necessary equipment to complete this closed-loop energy generation is housed in SIHUB, and is in the process of localization as well as improvement in order to treat diverse kinds of organic waste in Vietnam.

The 6R technology is well-known for its ability to turn waste into electrical or thermal energy efficiently.
