HCMC to give full financial support to science-technology research, development

The Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Department of Science-Technology (DoST) invited educational institutes, science-technology businesses and organizations to sign up for research missions to further develop science-technology potential in the city in 2019.

This calling aims at increasing the performance of science-technology research, with the focus on products that can be directly applied into manufacturing and social life; investing in ordered items that are economically effective; boosting activities to commercialize research results; fostering the establishment of a strong connection between scientists, scientific-technological organizations, and businesses.

Particularly, any organization which registers for a scientific research or technological development project will receive up to 100 percent of the necessary finance from the municipal budget. Those studies to serve the goal of urban socio-economic growth will be prioritized.

Regarding both research on technology and product renovation as well as study on technology transfer, registering organizations will obtain up to 30 percent of the total necessary finance.
