Chieu Trung Temple Festival is a worshipping festival dedicated to Le Khoi (also called Chieu Trung Dai Vuong), a famous talented General of the Lam Son insurrection in the Le Dynasty.
The event which started 500 years ago takes place from the 1st to the 3rd day of the fifth lunar month to mark the General’s dead anniversary every year.
This year’s festival marks the 571st anniversary of the General’s death (1446-2017).
Chieu Trung Temple was recognized as the national heritage by the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Culture, Sports and Tourism) in 1990.
