According to the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center, typhoon Nida was centered at 18, 1 degrees north latitude and 122, 2 degrees east longitude of the northwards of Philippines's Luzon Island on Sunday, with the maximum wind near center blew at level 10- 12.
Today, the typhoon moves the northwestwards of Luzon Island at 20 kilometers per hour with the powerful wind of level 12- 15.
By afternoon today, it will be at a distance of 500 kilometers southeastward of Hong Kong (China).
By this morning, the northeastern territorial water of East Sea sees strong wind of level 8- 12, even gusts up to level 14- 15 due to the influence of the storm.
The international and Vietnam hydrology meteorology centers forecasted that typhoon Nida will land the southward of China; after that it is predicted operate stronger than the previous days causing heavy rains in the northern region.
Besides, the operation of the southwest monsoon also caused strong wind of level 5- 8 and sea rough in the southern territorial water from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau.
With the bad weather condition, the National Steering Committee of Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and National Committee of Search and Rescue asked the coastal provinces from Quang Ninh to Binh Dinh, the northern mountain provinces need to keep close watch and report the direction, position of the typhoon, count the number of sea-going fishing vessels.
Damaged areas within next 24 hours will be located at 15 degrees north latitude and 115 degrees east longitude.
The local residents in the northern mountain provinces need to pay attention to the ongoing storm, reservoir regulation and anti-flooding and flash flood construction projects.
In the related weather news, a heat wave occurred in some places of the Northern provinces such as Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien- Hue.
By August 1- 2, the hot weather continues hitting the northeastern provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien- Hue on the large scale with its peak temperature of 35- 37 degrees Celsius.
