An estimated one thousand of rice crops across the districts were ruined, including 250 hectares in Tuyen Hoa district, 210 hectares in Minh Hoa district and 185 hectares in Quang Trach district.
With the bad situation, the People’s Committee of Quang Binh province provided short-term rice seeds for farmer in order to assist them to continue maintenance to winter-spring rice harvest.
At present, districts of Le Thuy, Quang Ninh, Dong Hoi, Bo Trach, Quang Trach and Ba Don town have suffered the return of rats and mice which have decimated a large number of rice crops.
