Rains ease drought in central, southern regions

The National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center yesterday said that heavy rains have occurred abating drought in the south central region, the Central Highlands and the Mekong Delta.

The National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center yesterday said that heavy rains have occurred abating drought in the south central region, the Central Highlands and the Mekong Delta.

Small floods have been seen in Cam Ly river, Binh Thuan province. River water level in some provinces in the central region and the Central Highlands will slightly rise on June 18.

Meantime, water level in the Mekong River has also increased under influence of rainstorms. It will continue surging in the next couples of days.
