The National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center said that unexpected thunderstorms and showers would bring the comfort and cooler days in the Southern and Central Highlands regions in the next couple days.

An average temperature as high as 35- 37 degrees Celsius, shower and thunderstorm are forecast in the regions at nights. 

From April 28 to May 1, temperature is expected to drop down 31- 35 degrees Celsius. 

However, a high-intensity heatwave is forecast to continue in the western part of the Northern and several mountainous areas of the Central regions within next ten days. 

Thunderstorm, hail, lightning and a gusty wind are predicted  in some places ahead of the hot spell moving hot and muggy weather.
