One more tropical depression operating offshore Philippines after storm Toraji

According to the latest weather news, one more tropical low pressure system appeared in the eastern offshore Philippines right after storm Toraji which killed 14 people as it weakened into a low pressure in Vietnam.

The news was reported by the Japan Hydro- meteorological Agency and Hydro-meteorological stations in Asia-Pacific,

The new pressure system is quickly moving the west- northwestward at around 20 kilometers an hour, and then it is forecast to develop into a storm next couple days. 

Cooler air mass is shouldering over the north, expanding to the east- north, north- central, west- northwest and mid- central regions.

Meanwhile according to the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center, the eighth storm- Toraji quickly weakened into a tropical low pressure as soon as it was heading to the south- central territorial waters of Vietnam.

Its eye was located in the mainland of Ninh Thuan to Binh Thuan province with a blustery night of 40- 50 kilometers an hour last night. 

The depression is predicted to move the westward at around 10 kilometers an hour, and it is expected to turn into a low pressure zone hitting the southeast region caused strongest wind of level 6-7 near the center, big waves of 1-2 meters and sea rough today. 

Because of its impact, the south- central, central highlands and southern coastal provinces and cities have caught in a threat of heavy to heavy rains. 

Both the northern and provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien- Hue are experiencing medium- heavy rains, thunderstorms, lightning, hail, cyclone and powerful wind.  

Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City is facing shower, thunderstorm and daytime temperature of 33- 34 degrees Celsius.  

Due to the eighth storm circulation, heavy to heavy rains have threatened areas of Khanh Hoa and Phu Yen.

Additionally, a huge flooding is warned  to flash the south- central region.

In order to actively deal with the natural disasters, minimise damages on people and property, overcome consequences, the Central Steering Committee on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control requested provinces and cities of Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan and Ba Ria- Vung Tau, relevant ministries and departments to keep eye the current weather condition of flooding downpour and landslide, evacuate flood- hit people to safe places.
