Yet another cold front is set to slam northern Vietnam by Wednesday, bringing back chilling conditions over the northern and central provinces, announced the National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Centre.

The centre said that temperatures will slide down to 13-15 degrees Celsius today, with a further drop by 1-2 degrees expected within the next few days. The mountainous regions though will experience temperatures below 5 degrees Celsius.

The cold wave is expected to last for a week and will be severer than the last one, bringing with it rain and fog over the central region, while the northern region will have light scattered rain.

Northeasterly winds are already beginning to blow strong in the Gulf of Tonkin.
