New tropical –low pressure system appears

According to the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center, typhoon Hato yesterday weakened into a tropical- low pressure system after it had entered the mainland of Guangxi province of China.

The strongest wind near the center gusted 40-50 kilometers an hour.

After that, the tropical- low pressure system quickly moved the westwards at 20- 25 kilometers per hour and weakened into a tropical low pressure zone in the border line between Vietnam and China. 

Because of its circulation, the northern mountainous provinces experienced medium- heavy rain, thunderstorm an cyclone on the large scale with its peak rainfall of 100- 150 mm from August 24- 25.

Amid to the ongoing weather condition, the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control yesterday held an emergency meeting to discuss on necessary measures to cope with the natural disaster, and to ask the local authorities and people in Lang Son, Cao Bang, Bac Giang, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Lao Cai and Lai Chau provinces to eye on the weather and prevent from unexpected landslide and flashflood. 

Currently, a new tropical depression appeares in the eastwards of Philippines.

The depression locates at 15.4 degrees north latitude and 127.2 degrees east longitude. 

It is predicted to strongly operate and develop into a storm hiting the East Sea.
