National weather bureau warns of dry weather, forest fires

The National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center has warned of forest fire danger in the northern and north central region because of a dry cold front combined with divergence aloft has caused dry condition since February 7.

It has been cloudless and biting cold at night and early in the morning. The humidity has dropped low to average 35-55 percent, temperature reduced to only 6-9 degrees.

The mercury will inch up a little from February 11-14 but it will still be cold. Mountainous regions will be cloudy and foggy.

Meantime south central and southern provinces have been sunny since the New Year Day, which will linger until the beginning of next week.

Ho Chi Minh City’s weather has been fine for Tet holidaymakers; cool in the morning and late afternoon, hot and muggy at noon. Temperature will slightly increase to 36 degree Celsius today.
