Heavy rain causes traffic congestion

A heavy rain pouring down Thu Duc district of Ho Chi Minh City  yesterday, caused serious flooding and traffic jam during several hours in some roads as To Ngoc Van, Dang Van Bi and Vo Van Ngan.

A heavy rain pouring down Thu Duc district of Ho Chi Minh City  yesterday, caused serious flooding and traffic jam during several hours in some roads as To Ngoc Van, Dang Van Bi and Vo Van Ngan.

Many cars and motorcycles suffered engine failure as travelling across the streets.

A serious traffic jam occurred in the intersection of To Ngoc Van street with urban railway system and Pham Van Dong Boulevard because of flooding.

The Southern region’s Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center warned that rainfall to  continue hitting the southern provinces, including Ho Chi Minh City by mid- this month.

Local people need to protect themselves from the weather phenomenon of heavy rain, thunderstorm, lighting, hail and cyclone as they go outside.
