Rainfall will be 10-40 percent higher than average in the northern region but 10-40 percent lower than average in the central, southern and central highland regions, measuring over the last several years.

From October, rain and flooding will occur more frequently in the southern region than in other regions of Vietnam.

From August and September, the La Nina phenomenon will merge into El-Nino, making the country’s weather far more complex.

The Meteorological Forecasting Center has warned localities to watch out for powerful typhoons that will move erratically and torrential rainfall that will trigger flashfloods and landslides in the northern mountainous areas and the Central Highlands.
