Functional forces must ensure contact information against storm Sonca

Ministry of Information and Communications asked Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), Vietnam Military Telecommunications Group (Viettel), Vietnam Mobile Telecom Services One Member Limited Liability Company (MobiFone), Vietnam Maritime Communication and Electronics Company (VISHIPEL) and Vietnam Post Corporation (VNPost) had to ensure safe contact information dealing with typhoon Sonca.
The National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center warned that the storm would cause heavy rain, flashflood and landslide on the large scale. 
The typhoon is predicted to make landfall in the central coastal provinces from Ha Tinh to Quang Binh and Quang Tri by 4pm today. The strongest wind near the center could gust level 8-10. 
In order to proactively cope with typhoon Sonca, Ministry of Information and Communications asked telecommunications groups and departments of information and communications from Quang Ninh to Da Nang and the northern region to quickly adopt necessary measures to ensure detailed contact information under the direction of functional agencies and authorities. 
Particularly, VNPT needs to ensure safe contact information and guidance between functional agencies and affected localities, prepare mobile satellite communications and Inmarsat equipment in order to exactly report position as well as influence of the storm. 
Additionally, both Viettel and MobiFone had to ensure infrastructure safety for cord or non-cord public network systems and internet; complete the installation of BTS stations to provide enough power to affected localities by typhoon Sonca. 
Vishipel needed to strengthen providing forecast weather news as well as warning information on sea, calling on fishing vessels to move out of the dangerous areas. 
Media agencies had to timely report weather forecast news as well as necessary directions in case of the bad situation.
