Floods continue hitting central provinces

The department on natural disaster prevention in the Central & Central Highlands region said floods are forecast to hit again the central provinces from Thua Thien Hue to Quang Ngai as water levels on local rivers are reported to be higher due to the big reservoirs continue releasing water.

In addition, on December 5 to 9, the cold front accompanied with the East wind continue hitting the provinces from Thua Thien Hue to Khanh Hoa, causing heavy rains.

It will be able to cause water levels on rivers up again and it is forecast to reach up to alarm level 3.

Yesterday, Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development, head of search and rescue national committee Mr.Nguyen Xuan Cuong asked the localities from Thua Thien Hue to Binh Dinh to implement strictly the flood prevention.
