The highest rainfall in some northern provinces of Thai Nguyen, Ha Giang, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh and Hai Duong was measured at 85- 120 mm.

It was due to an influence of the tropical- low pressure trough in combination with the low turbulence.

However, the center said within next couple of days, the localities in the country will continue experiencing medium- heavy rain and thunderstorm on the large scale, falling at the mid- night.

The maximum rainfall in the northern mountainous and midland provinces will be able to increase up to 150-300 mm.

The upstream and downstream floodwater levels on Thao, Lo, Cau, Thuong and Luc Nam river systems are predicted to respectively reach by 3.5- 4 meters and 2- 2.5 meters.

Landslide and flashflood will also occur and hit local rivers and streams of Lai Chau, Son La, Dien Bien, Lao Cai, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son and Quang Ninh.
