Extreme cold spell to hit country starting January 25

Vice director of the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center Le Thanh Hai reported that a coming massive cold front would spread out the country since January 25.

The country experienced three cold airs in this year’s winter, including two cold fronts respectively took place from December 27 to January 4 and from January 8-16. 
In the third- seven day damaging cold, the lowest temperature in Hanoi dropped down 9-10 degrees Celsius, causing appearance of frost and glacial ice.
Mr. Le Thanh Hai warned that the coming extreme cold air is expected to operate stronger and last untill February. 
In addition, both north and central region are predicted to suffer a damaging cold on the Lunar New Year. 
Currently, the south and south- central provinces have entered unseasonal rain and thunderstorm.
