Cold air mass hits north & north- central region

A cold front is forecast to continue impacting in the mid- central region on December 31, reported the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center.

The west part of the northern region experiences small rainfall, slight wind, damaging cold, air humidity of 68- 98 percent, the lowest temperature of 13- 16 degrees Celsius and the highest temperature of 17- 20 degrees Celsius. 

The east part of the northern region sees deep cloud, showery weather, the northeast wind of level 2-4, dangerous cold, air humidity of 75- 99 percent, the lowest temperature at 12- 15 degrees Celsius and the highest temperature at 16- 19 degrees Celsius. 

The north-central provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien- Hue experience medium- heavy rains, powerful wind of level 2- 4, damaging cold, air humidity of 70- 99 percent, the lowest temperature of 13- 16 degrees Celsius and the highest temperature of 18- 21 degrees Celsius. 

Deep cloud and medium- heavy rains are the weather condition in the south- central provinces from Da Nang and Binh Thuan. 

Both the Central Highlands and southern region face circus cloud, showery weather, thunderstorm, powerful wind of level 2-3, air humidity of 60- 95 percent, the lowest temperature of 22- 25 degrees Celsius and the highest temperature of 30-33 degrees Celsius. 

The massive operation of the cold spell is expected to bring medium- heavy rains, the northeast monsoon of level 2-4 in the northern and mid- central region.

Dangerous cold with the temperature of 8-10 degrees Celsius, even drop down under 6 degrees Celsius and air humidity of 75- 98 percent hit the northern mountainous region. The lowest temperature in the Red Delta region could reach at 11- 14 degrees Celsius, at 13- 15 degrees Celsius in Hanoi.

The Gulf of Tonkin, offshore water of the central and southern provinces and the northern territorial water of the East Sea including the Paracel Island can see the northeast wind of level 6-9 and sea rough.
