Dau Tieng Irrigational Exploitation Company announced that Dau Tieng Irrigation Reservoir will release floodwater with the volume of 150 meters cubic per seconds.
Dau Tieng Irrigation Reservoir will release its floodwater on December 19- 25.
The flood release will begin at 7 am on December 19, and last by 7pm on December 25. The action aims to ensure the reservoir safety as well as reduce flood level in Sai Gon River.
Although the week long flood release will not impact Ho Chi Minh City, the city’s Steering Committee on Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue asked the People’s committees of Cu Chi, Hoc Mon, Go Vap, Binh Thanh, Thu Duc districts, district 12 and functional forces to prepare necessary measures for the worst conditions and protect residents.
