Because of the influence of a cold weather, heavy rains shouldered on a large scale in the central region from Ha Tinh to Binh Dinh, which caused flood level increase rapidly on local rivers, reported the region's Steering Board for Flood and Storms Control on December 2.
Local authorities called the Goverment to support over VND 110 billion, including VND 57, 43 billion for Binh Dinh and VND 60 billion for Phu Yen, in order to overcome serious consequences and damages after typhoon Sinlaku.
Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has send a depatch for running water reservoirs in Huong River valley to ensure safety of the local reservoirs in the flood season, reported the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province.
