The 18th week of labor safety and fire explosion prevention was launched yesterday in the Northern Province of Hung Yen with the theme “Enterprises and laborers actively fulfill rights and responsibilities as per labor hygiene and safety regulations”.
The event from March 20 to 26 has many important activities. Speaking at the launch ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam stressed there has been upward trend on work-related accidents and fire explosion causing huge losses for the society in recent years.
There are many reasons yet one of them is that laborers have not been raised awareness in labor safety and fire explosion prevention. Moreover, currently, a huge number of laborers have not purchased social insurance, health insurance and work-related accident insurance
Accordingly, the Deputy PM asked the employers and workers to strictly follow regulations on labor safety and fire explosion prevention, aiming to reduce the above-mentioned accidents.
Along with the participation of Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam, leaders of the Vietnam General Labor Union, of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and international organizations took part in the event.
