Inspectors from the Ministry of Information and Communications April 6 decided to issue an administrative penalty to Vietnam Television (VTV) for broadcasting unlicensed program.
VTV has broadcast alliance program which has not been licensed by the authority. Accordingly, in the document to the television, it said the alliance program “Finding Asian talent” which was broadcast on March 22 and 23 has not been approved by the authority.
As per the government's decree 159/2013/NĐ-CP in press field, the television was fined VND50 million (US$2,315)
