VN & U.S enhance comprehensive partnership development

The 2017 Pacific Partnership (PP17) Program has just been taken place and finished successfully in Khanh Hoa province.

The ten day conference focused on main activities as interactive abilities to cope with natural disaster, medical examination and treatment, exchange program in community. 

This year marks the four consultative years and the eighth time of the program since it was implemented for the first time in Vietnam 11 years ago.

Besides the PP17, there was the participation of crew members of J.S. Izumo and J.S. Sazanami, two ships of the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force. 

The PP17 members and hosted country- Vietnam co-held a workshop to exchange  training programs about high available disaster recovery, and focus on coping with natural disasters and emergency skills. 

Via the PP17, Hoa Mi and Son Ca Kindergarten and Khanh Hoa Social Protection Center were improved material facilities 

The United States Ambassador to Vietnam Ted Osius said that the PP17 members in collaboration with local agencies of Khanh Hoa province to raise professional ability for local medical staffs, expansion of regional cooperation relationship and multilateral cooperation development with Vietnam.

 

“These activities in Da Nang and Nha Trang are concrete examples for comprehensive partnership development between Vietnam and the United States” said Mr. Ted Osius.
