VN attaches importance to comprehensive partnership ties with US

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc yesterday received a delegation of the United States House of Representatives led by Mr. Ted Yoho, Chairman of the Asia and the Pacific Subcommittee at the US House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

At the meeting, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc affirmed that the Vietnamese Government and people appreciated the US Congress and US Representatives who supported foreign policies of the United States for the Asia- Pacific region and multifaceted development of Vietnam- US comprehensive partnership relations.

Vietnam always respects the relationship as well as wants to continue development of the comprehensive partnership ties with the partner on the bases of principles of respecting independence, sovereignty territorial integrity and political regimes of each other for benefits of the two nations, peace, cooperation and development, added PM Phuc.

The Vietnamese Government’s leader appreciated relationship development between the two national congresses via meetings and exchange programs between the Vietnam- US legislators.

Vietnam hoped that more and more US congressmen would visit the country to learn about history, culture and people as well as discuss measures in strengthening further the friendship cooperation ties between the nations.
