VN & Armenia mark 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties

The Vietnamese Armenian Friendship Association held an exchange program in Hanoi yesterday to mark the 25th anniversary of Vietnam-Armenia diplomatic ties (July 14), Armenia’s 26th National Day (September 21) and the 72th anniversary of National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (1945- 2017). 

Attending in the event were President of the Vietnamese Armenian Friendship Association (VAFA) Nguyen Van Thuan, Armenian ambassador to Vietnam Raisa Vardanya, representatives of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vietnam Journalist Association, Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, Friendship Association of the CIS countries and Vietnamese people who had ever lived and studied in Armenia. 

Speaking at the ceremony, President of the VAFA Nguyen Van Thuan stressed that the Armenian Government and people helped Vietnam during the country's national liberation struggle, and paid their assistances in training thousands of scientists with the fluent technical skills.   

The great assistance actively contributes to develop the nations’ friendship relations. 

Armenian ambassador to Vietnam Raisa Vardanya said that the cooperation relations between Vietnam and Armenia has been developing in the various fields. 

Both sides will make more efforts in seeking and expanding cooperative opportunities in the potential sectors.
