At the reception, President Tran Dai Quang appreciated and thanked for his contributions in increasing Vietnam- U.S cooperation ties in previous decades.

Earlier, President of the United States Donald Trump wrote a letter to Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang to promote more cooperation between the two countries, including pushing up economic & commercial cooperation, global and regional issues to ensure peace and stability on bases of respecting international law.

Currently, Vietnam has actively prepared for a week of the 2017 APEC summit in Da Nang city. The Vietnamese President pleasured the upcoming visit of United States President Donald Trump and his participation in APEC 2017.

President Tran Dai Quang suggested Mr. John Kerry would continue supporting Vietnam- U.S relationship in the fields of economy, trade, investment, education, science & technology, anti- climate change, overcoming post- war consequences.
