Vietnamese leaders pay tribute to Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong, Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc led senior leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly and Vietnamese Government yesterday commemorated Fidel Castro Ruz, the former First Secretary of the Cuban Communist Party’s Central Committee and President of the State Council and Council of Ministers.

The chief of Party laid a wreath and wrote tribute message in the funeral memory book that the Vietnamese leaders and people sent condolences to the Cuban Communist Party, State, people and family over the death of the talented leader who was a brother and close friend of Vietnam in the struggle for Vietnam's freedom and national independence, and building and protecting the country as nowadays.

The former Cuban President will forever live in the glorious revolutionary career of Cuba and in heart of everybody all over the world, he wrote.

The Vietnamese president also laid a funeral wreath and expressed his emotion and respect in the funeral book to commemorate the great leader.

On behalf of the Government, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Pham Binh Minh laid a wreath to commemorate Fidel Castro Ruz.

On the same day, many senior delegates from the ministries and agencies, the foreign ambassadors and international organizations in Hanoi, many people having ever studied and worked in Cuba shared deep sadness for the death of Fidel Castro Ruz at the Cuban Embassy.

The Cuban Embassy in Hanoi is opening for paying tributes to the late leader via writing the funeral notebook from November 28 to December 4.

Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Dinh La Thang and leaders of city Party Committee, the People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee in HCMC visited and paid their tributes to the Cuban leader at the Cuban Consulate General in the city.

City Party Chief Dinh La Thang wrote in the funeral book that comrade Fidel Castro is forever a symbol of the great and resilient revolution against colonialism, imperialism, and the person who had led the Cuban people to independence, freedom and development.

The Cuban Consulate General in the city is also opening for paying tributes to Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro Ruz via writing the funeral book from November 28 to December 4.
