Vietnamese culture day held in Germany

In the framework of the 100th founding anniversary of the University of Hamburg (1919 - 2019), the Vietnamese studies faculty under the Institute of Africa- Asia of the University of Hamburg successfully organized Vietnam Day (Vietnam Tag).

A large number of German tourists, foreign tourists, researchers, teachers, students and the Vietnamese community in Hamburg and neighboring areas flocked to the event. 

According to Prof. Thomas Engelbert, Head of the Vietnamese studies faculty at University of Hamburg, Vietnam Tag is an opportunity to advertise Vietnam's traditional culture to international friends.

Additionally, the organizers also arranged an exhibition space to introduce Vietnam’s socio-economic development achievements in previous time. 

During the Vietnamese culture day, visitors had opportunity to discover and experience Vietnamese folk games, calligraphy performance, Vietnamese tea and cuisine, traditional music, Vietnamese language classes, etc.
