Vietnam to increase corruption prevention by installing cameras

One of measures Vietnam will implement to fight corruption is to install camera systems in meeting hall between on-duty officials, people and businesses to surveillance as per Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s dispatch No.724/CD-TTg on enhancing measures to prevent negative and corruption behaviors in public service yesterday.
According to the dispatch, to actively prevent corruption in public servants, the PM asked heads of ministries, agencies and localities must set good examples in implementing the Party and State’s regulations on corruption fight and to be held accountable for any negative or corruption cases in their units.
More, Mr. Phuc wanted specific and transparent regulations for law enforcement officials in charge of inspecting, auditing, investigating, executing customs, taxation and market management to prevent the abuse of position for getting money or personal gains.
The dispatch said clearly that corrupted public servants especially heads of inspection teams and auditor teams will be dismissed or transferred to other positions according the regulations.
