Vietnam strives to raise living condition for AO victims

Speaking at a meeting held by the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange (AO)/ Dioxin (VAVA) on July 13 in Hanoi, Head of the Mass Mobilization Commission of the Party Central Committee Truong Thi Mai lauded VAVA and union staffs for launching many activities to support AO victims.

Speaking at a meeting held by the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange (AO)/ Dioxin (VAVA) on July 13 in Hanoi, Head of the Mass Mobilization Commission of the Party Central Committee Truong Thi Mai lauded VAVA and union staffs for launching many activities to support AO victims.

She proposed related agencies closely working with VAVA to adopt synchronous measures, aiming to raise AO victims’ living condition and people's awareness well as called for the contribution of organizations and individuals in the country and abroad to pay attention to AO people, helping them overcome daily difficulties, creating good conditions for their kids to go to school.

The meeting also honored AO exemplary models of a never-say-die attitude who overcome a terrible difficulties and achieves an impossible goal as well as help others in the same plight to have better lives.
On the occasion, many AO teams and individuals who won good achievements were rewarded Labor Medal and certificates of merits from the Prime Minister and VAVA.
