State President Truong Tan Sang welcomed Angolan Interior Minister Angelo de Barros V.Tavares at the Presidential palace in Ha Noi yesterday during his visit to Vietnam.
At the meeting, President Truong Tan Sang expressed his pleasure with development in the cooperative ties between the two countries in economy and education.
He also praised the great achievements in cooperation between the Ministry of Interior of Angola and Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in the recent years.
Vietnam and Angola need to hold a meeting of Intergovernmental Commission to continue to expand and promote cooperation in economy, trade and investment, said the President.
On the same day, Minister of Public Security General Tran Dai Quang also held talks with Mr. Angelo de Barros V.Tavares in Ha Noi. The two ministers signed a cooperative agreement between Angola and Vietnam in the field of security and public order.
