The seminar was launched by Vietnam under co-chair of Canada and South Korea.
It attracted delegates from 26 countries, representatives of European Union, the United Nations Peacekeeping Department in Vietnam, the ASEAN Secretariat, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and functional agencies of Defense Ministry.
Speaking at the event, Senior Lieutenant General, Deputy Minister of National Defense Nguyen Chi Vinh said that Vietnam has strengthened ability to join the UN peacekeeping activities with support of partners, international organizations including ARF’s member countries.
Via the seminar, Vietnam wished to release initiatives in connecting centers of regional peacekeeping, lecturer exchange program, and sharing training documentaries etc etc…
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh thanked the United Nations and ARF’s member countries for their assistance in human resource training for peacekeeping activities in the coming time.
